garden design in North East Scotland

Previous owners had covered Liz’s south-facing front garden in North London in concrete. Rainwater sat on the surface and poured down the drains, and Liz’s attempts to grow plants in containers were roughly ended by their theft. So Life Landscapes was asked to solve the problem.
The garden is designed to meet the new government sustainability regulations for front gardens. The path is permeable gravel in a honeycomb stablisation system to ensure new wheelie bins can be moved across easily. There are also plenty of beds for planting and for rainwater run-off.
A bespoke hardwood batten screen will hide the bins from view and contemporary cube planters will be secured with fixed L-brackets. The pearly quartz gravel and crisp metal edging will complete the modern look.
The planting design incorporates sun-loving drought-tolerant plants to suit this south-facing area. The grasses, perennial flower and seedheads will create a soft naturalistic feel.
